Rom-coms are essentially one of the most liked genres with a certain age group, and fortunately, that age bracket also happens to be the majority of netizens. There is an ample number of films and series which are out there. Not all the shows or films can cater to a big pool of audience, but this isn’t the case with the Kissing Booth. In 2018 the Kissing Booth became the most rewatched movie on Netflix, so this suffices to prove that there is every reason on earth to have a second part of the series.
After getting a brilliant response from fans, Netflix decided to give another shot at it, and now we will have the second part of Kissing Booth. So let’s dive into the details of the second part.
Do we have a release date for the second part of Kissing Booth?
Fans much await the series, but as of now, we don’t have a release date. This is going to take some time as the date was expected to be announced in the first half of 2020, but the recent pandemic has disturbed the calendar. So as long as the process is halted, we can’t say for sure when the release will be happening. But this doesn’t mean that Netflix hasn’t said anything, and instead of going for an exact date, they went rather vague to spring 2020.
Although the major work is already done and there is minor work left in the film. The filming process started in June 2019, and it ended by October 2019. So it was stipulated to have April/May release, but the recent set of events pushed the dates. But as soon as the restrictions are over and life starts to go back to normal, we will be getting the second instalment too.
Is the cast going to be the same, or are there some alterations too?
As far as the cast is concerned, you must be thinking of Jacob Elordi’s return, and the good news is that he will be returning in the second part too. Apart from Jacob Elordi, other members of the cast are also making their return in the second part. Elordi is all set to reprise his role as Noah, and Joey king will be back in the role of Elle Evans. Joel Courtney will also be returning in the second part of the role of Lee Flynn.
There are going to be new entrants too in the series, and this is expected to bring some substantial change in the storyline as new characters always do. The new actors expected to join the second part are Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez as Chloe and Marco. So the new set of characters is going to bring a new twist in the storyline. Once the details regarding an official date or any other details come to us, we will update you with the same.
